Children under the age of seven do not have the dexterity and motor skills to reach all their teeth and to brush them effectively. As children are depending on their parents, we offer support and suggestions to all parents on how to make their child's oral hygiene routine more effective.

We focus on prevention and recommend that both you and your children come in for a dental checkup every six months. By frequently visiting the dentist, we can prevent decay and gum disease, and assess their dental development and the potential need for orthodontic treatment.

We are also champions of the 3+2 rule, which refers to children’s eating habits. We recommend that children stick to eating three meals per day and two snacks per day. This will give their mouths and saliva time to recuperate and protect their teeth. Eating more frequently than this will increase their risk of dental decay. Sugary foods and sweet drinks should be limited to only special occasions, to help protect their teeth from too much acid exposure.
